Assignment #2 - Is it or Not? Quiz
Listen to music examples and tell whether they are Gregorian Chants or not (based on this definition by Donald Grout). And if they are not, tell why they are not.
There are also a few questions about other items presented in the lessons covering the Medieval Times and Music & Gregorian Chant
Assignment #3: Renaissance Period Report
Create a presentation on the Renaissance Period. You may create this presentation in MS Word or PowerPoint, in a webpage, blog or wiki. You may use another application to create the project if you ask for and receive teacher approval PRIOR to submission.
Write a report about the Renaissance Style Period.
This report should NOT be about the music of the Renaissance Period, but rather the world events, painters &/or sculptors, authors and buildings of this time period
The presentation should contain information about the following 4 areas:
History (World Events)
Art (Include famous artists of the period and an example of the their work)
Architecture (Describe the characteristics of the period, and include at least 1 example of the architectural style of the period)
Literature (Include famous authors of the period and an example of their work).
